Welcome to the South Central Regional Microscale Chemistry Center's Home Page.

The South Central Regional Microscale Chemistry Center (SCRMCC) was established in 1997 to assist the National Microscale Chemistry Center (NMC2) in promoting the use of microscale chemistry as a means of eliminating toxic waste at the source. Its major focus is  offering workshops and seminars on the operation and advantages of converting laboratories to the microscale level and promoting hands-on science. In addition, the SCRMCC  assists the NMC2 in disseminating information and works closely with other organizations in their efforts to promote "Green Chemistry".

SCRMCC is permanently housed at Tyler Junior College, one of the oldest junior colleges in Texas, providing solid basics for freshman and sophomore students who plan to transfer to upper-level colleges and universities and offers a diversity of technical and vocational programs for students joining the highly competitive and demanding job market. Tyler Junior College is located at Tyler, Texas, which is centrally located between Dallas, TX. and Shreveport, LA.
